Sales Team Lead

As a Sales Team Lead you will be responsible for managing the sales department of SPENN Zambia to ensure it meets the company’s overall vision and set targets, and support the team by providing assistance with all tasks regarding the daily sales activities. You are an expert in sales and have knowledge of people management and reporting. You are able to provide knowledge and training when required and are ready to close the deal yourself. Together with the Country Manager, you build a strong performing sales team with accurate knowledge of the products and services as well as the market.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties and responsibilities that are naturally associated with the position, including but not limited to:

  • Drive B2B sales by calling and visiting potential customers to present, promote and sell products/services of the company.
  • Use database, CRM and other software to maintain an accurate record of all sales, scheduled customer appointments, and customer demands, needs and preferences.
  • Meet monthly sales targets effectively.
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
  • Fill management gaps by building, training, mentoring and managing individuals and teams in sales and account management and evaluating performance based on agreed KPIs.
  • Ensure the highest quality of work at all stages of the value chain within the sales business team of SPENN Zambia.
  • Possess strong knowledge of SPENN Zambia and Kazang products and services to identify customer needs
  • Budgeting and forecast for the sales business team of SPENN  Zambia.
  • Set and meet targets based on the company’s KPIs.
  • Work together with management to set and Implement effective sales strategies.
  • Measure, monitor and improve key processes within the business sales team of SPENN Zambia to create sustainable growth.
  • Screening, recruiting and training of (new) sales employees.
  • Keep abreast and report on products, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising, and promotional trends.
  • Informing management of possible product improvements and changes to ensure that company products meet current market needs.
  • Perform any other Sales & Marketing related activities depending on company needs.
  • Attend training to stay up to date with the specifications of new products and services.
  • Continuously improve through feedback

GOALS

The immediate goals are:
  • Increase the number of SPENN Business sales in Zambia
  • Increase monthly recurring revenue of SPENN Business clients in Zambia
  • Build and maintain a high-performing sales team

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

Furthermore:
  • Previous management experience in customer service/sales environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with BRM and CRM practices (HubSpot)
  • Familiarity with reporting
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
  • Understanding of sales dynamics and processes.
  • Motivated and target driven
  • Excellent selling, negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent problem-solving and networking skills.
  • Knowledge of MS Office and Google Suite
  • Fluent in English (speaking and writing)
